South African Gay Movie "Skoonheid" Takes Queer Palm Award At Cannes

So proud! Ladies and gents, this is the first ever Afrikaans film (native South African language) to be screened at the Annual Cannes Awards...and guess what - we scooped the Queer Palm Award!

The Oliver Hermanus movie features a mature South African gay man who struggles with his sexuality (after having kids himself) whilst falling in love with the 23-year old son of his friend.

The award recognizes one film for its contributions to lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender issues.

Can't wait to see this film and congratulations to the entire team!
