Proenza Ponders Baubles, More Sarah Burton For Kate Middleton, Karl Seeks Kamera, And More… 2 May 2011, 5:54 pm
Proenza Schouler’s latest debut: costume jewelry. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez will launch a “seasonless” collection of accessories beginning with their next pre-collection. [WWD]
Sarah Burton made a clean sweep of the Middleton wardrobe this weekend. When Kate Middleton’s McQueen wedding gown came off, another McQueen confection went on: The bride slipped into a white Sarah Burton gown for her royal wedding after-party. [Fashionologie]
You know what they say about New York: If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. So after launching and eventually shuttering Bblessing, one of the city’s better-loved menswear boutiques, owners Sean Shuter and Daniel Jackson packed up and opened a new shop about as far away as you can get: South Africa. The Rafael de Cardenas-designed shop, Unknown Union, stocks many of the old Bblessing favorites, including Surface to Air, THECAST, Penfield, and aNYthing. [Hint]
And Karl Lagerfeld loves his old Fuji camera, but it’s out of production. If you’ve got one, the Chanel and Fendi designer begs that you send it his way—he’ll pay! [WSJ] Photo: Monica Feudi / GoRunway.com |
