Derek Lam's Perfect "10," Moss On The Opportunity She Missed, More Chanel Than Should Be Legal In One Apartment, And More… 18 May 2011, 4:29 pm
Derek Lam is all about broadening his business right now: The designer is plowing ahead with his crowd-sourced, affordable eBay collection, and has just announced a diffusion range for his main line, to be called 10 Crosby Derek Lam, a nod to his NYC shop address. The target customer? Cool girls between 20 and 45—a mix, Lam told WWD, of Mariel Hemingway and Dree Hemingway. Cool must run in the family. [WWD]
Kate Moss has only one fashion regret: She wasn’t cast with her fellow supes Naomi, Linda, and Christy in George Michael’s “Freedom” video. Oh, and in case you wanted to know: She thought London’s other Kate—that’d be Middleton—looked “so chic and seamless” on her wedding day. [Vogue U.K.]
The Coveteur visits Chanel ambassador Jen Brill at home, where they find a true embarrassment of riches, more Chanel than we can fairly say we’ve ever seen outside of a Chanel store. Even Brill’s freezer is well stocked—with Karl’s ice cube double-C bags, of course (above). (Apparently they come with a note from the Kaiser to keep them frosty.) [The Coveteur]
And an awww for German Vogue. The mag gave three covers to its June issue, all starring a model and her real-life beau: Karolina Kurkova and Archie Drury, Alessandra Ambrosio and Jamie Mazur, and soon-to-be-newlyweds Anja Rubik and Sasha Knezevic. [Modelinia] Photo: Courtesy of The Coveteur |
