Kate Middleton Royal Wedding Earrings....
Wasn't she absolutely stunning today? At Wedding and Baby we loved the dress - we had predicted she would go for the Grace Kelly look and she did it very well.
The tiara was breathtaking, but it was the earrings that we predict are going to set a trend.
Kate Middleton's Teardrop earrings are going to be the big accessory for the next year or so, along with rhinestone belts.
The rhinestone belt was part of Kate Middleton's second dress and we launched these into our range in January 2011. See our range of belts here
If you don't have the huge budget to get your earrings commissioned, in the oak leaf and acorn teardrop shape then look no further. We have a range of earrings that will turn every bride to be into a princess.
At Wedding and Baby we are always delighted to create bespoke designs for our customers - so if you would like acorns incorporated into your bridal jewellery we would be delighted to hear from you.
Our Royal Wedding inspired earrings are Limited Edition and currently available through our facebook shop.

Finding the Perfect Fit
Today I read this great article (link below) from the New York Times entitled "One Size Fits Nobody." I had to share it with you, because it is what I have been preaching about for years! Designers need to make clothes that will fit real women and they need to make the sizing uniform for all U.S. clothing.
The article talks about the decades-old issue of fluctuating sizes and the frustration we face finding the perfect fit. It also introduces an amazing new technology soon available in some shopping malls called "My Best Fit" which uses a full body scan to suggest which sizes of certain clothing brands will fit you best. Take a minute to read the article and enjoy a self-esteem building moment! The problem is not your body!!

Kate Middleton Dress Scoop...
Okay get this... I got up this morning, grabbed my coffee and jumped back under my blanket (hello, it's winter in South Africa...)
Just to add, today is "obviously" a public holiday and the television is the next best thing on a early Friday morning. Watched some Pierce Morgan (this man pushes all my wrong buttons) with Sharon and Kelly Osbourne - followed by... the CNN 30 minute update on the Royal Wedding! Awesome!
So this morning on CNN the topic of discussion were the carriages and the Royal procession for this major event. An uncle (can't recall his name) gave us an inside look of the carriage which Prince William and Kate Middleton will leave Westminster Abbey for the big wedding bash.
Okay, to get to the point. The uncle showed us the little fold-out steps of the carriage - and with that, he also mentioned that Kate will most probably practice prior to the wedding to get in and out of the carriage... seeing that she will be wearing a dress with a LONG TRAIN.
Did this insider say too much or just an assumption.
Only time will tell, I guess...

Lady Gaga In "Retarded" Drama
No mercy for Gaga!
Following an interview with NME magazine with the topic of discussion her "Born This Way" tune sounding like the Madonna hit "Express Yourself" the 25-year old star stated that "Why would I try to put out a song and think I'm getting one over on everybody? That's retarded."
Shortly after this... the shit hit the fan concerning her choice of words...especially the word "retarded"
Lady Gaga apparently felt very kak whereby she released a statement to Perez Hilton saying...
Good for you Gaga!

Please forgive me...

"I consider it part of my life's work and music to push the boundaries of love and acceptance. My apologies for not speaking thoughtfully. To anyone that was hurt, please know that it was furiously unintentional. An honest mistake, requires honesty to make. Whether life's disabilities, left you outcast bullied or teased, rejoice and love yourself today." - Lady GaGa
